皆さん！ こんにちは 補聴器ソムリエの洞です。
前回に引き続き“耳鳴り”についてのお話しです。 今回は“耳鳴り”の対策法についてお話しします。 対策法と言いましても私は医者ではないので治療法について申し上げることはできません。
その代わりに約７０００人の難聴者のカウンセリング経験がありますので、そこで知り得た“耳鳴り情報”をお話しさせていただきます。 まずは今までのカウンセリング対象者を３つのグループに分けてみました。
① の人はなぜ“耳鳴り”を発症しないのでしょうか？ 発症した人と何が違うのでしょうか？ まず難聴でご相談に来店される人の中で“耳鳴り”のある人とない人では、ない人の方が圧倒的に多いです。 約４人中３人の割合で“耳鳴り”はありません。（当店調べ） その“耳鳴り”のない方が補聴器を購入して毎日使用された場合、その後に“耳鳴り”を発症したという話しは私の経験上聞いたことがありません。 これはナゼでしょうか？ その原因をお話しする前に前回お話しした“耳鳴り”の発症原因についてもう一度復習してみましょう。

これが“耳鳴り”の発症原因である“耳鳴り悪循環”です。 加齢難聴になって高い音が聞こえなくなり、危険が察知出来なくなった脳が不安を感じ、有毛細胞に高い音を探すよう指示をだします。 有毛細胞は耳鳴りを脳に送りますが危険が察知出来ないので脳はさらに指示を出し続けます。 まさに悪循環です。 この負のスパイラルのどこかを断ち切れさえすれば“耳鳴り”が克服できると考えられます。 元々“耳鳴り”を発症していない人が補聴器を毎日装着すると・・・
そもそも脳が不安を感じる前に高い音の情報不足が補聴器によって解消されるため“耳鳴り”が発症しないで済んだと考えられます。 ただしこれは補聴器を毎日装着したとして・・・の話しです。 補聴器を購入されたにも関わらず「ほとんど使っていない」とおっしゃる方の中には・・・
後に“耳鳴り”が始まったという人は、これも私の経験上大勢いらっしゃいました。 持っていても使わなければ持っていないのと同じ事で、脳の不安を招く結果になってしまいます。
“耳鳴りの辛さ”はなった人でないと分からないと言われますから、その予防と言われても未経験の方にはピンと来ないかも知れません。 ですが実際に発症した人にしてみれば・・・
とおっしゃいます。 まさに“後悔先に立たず”です。 補聴器をつけるうえで最も大切なのはつけるタイミングを逃さないことです。 ほんの少しでも聞こえに不自由を感じたなら、ほんの少しでも周りから指摘をされたなら、迷うこと無く補聴器をつけましょう。 その迷いが取り返しのつかない結果になる前に・・・
